    Learning to love my body

This post is going to be personal and something that means a lot to me so thank you for reading. When I was 15/16 I absolutely hated my body, I always found something wrong with it. I had friends who were skinnier than me and I would always look at myself and make that comparison. I would see photos of us all and hate them because I looked different to my friends and I was not the size I wanted to be.Don’t get me wrong, looking back now I realise I wasn’t a bad size but I compared myself to others which made me feel awful about myself. Around this…

    Birth story

It’s that one that everyone loves hearing all about. Before giving birth I had read and listened to so many different birth stories and they were all incredible but no two the same. I loved reading into different experiences as it helped me understand the vast range of different things that could happen throughout labour and birth. But nothing could prepare me for my own experience of giving birth. I’d like to share my own experience today and hopefully give a little more insight into the beauty of child birth. This is going to be a long post so please grab a cuppa and get comfy! Sunday the 28th October,…

Grab that cuppa and settle down to find out more about Emily from Emily Aagaard and Polly from Polly’s Pad. Emily | Emily Aagaard  I grew up and live in a town called Folkestone. Pumpkin Perfect

The last time I managed to get time to carve pumpkins was 3 years ago so I was pushing the idea of actually getting some pumpkins and a carving kit with my husband this year. I have talked about where I got these two pumpkins from for £3 in my Halloween decorations post and I would like to mention now that I got the carving kit from Poundland for only 50p! So overall it was a cheap buy to have some messy fun. We had my husbands little sister over to get in on the fun and oh boy fun was definitely one word to describe it. If you’ve ever…

Behind the Blogger: My Town and What it Means to Me ~ Part 1

I recently wrote a post on the places I’ve lived throughout the years and it got me thinking about the experiences of others in the places they’ve lived. So, of course, I tweeted asking if any bloggers would like to work with me on a collaboration post and I was SO shocked by the response! I was expecting maybe one person but when I saw the amount of people responding it filled me with joy. I thought this was only going to be one post but I’ve decided to turn it into a mini series instead. I wanted to find out more about my fellow bloggers regarding where they’re located…

    Behind the Blogger: Relocation

I spent my life growing up in Stafford in the West Midlands, UK. Throughout school and sixth form I was happy enough living in this town as I didn’t really know much different. I spent some Sundays travelling around Wales with my dad and holidays in Cornwall in the summer holidays. Then in my last year of sixth form we were told to apply for University because that was the next step in life. I spent hours looking at Universities not even knowing what I wanted to do but I managed to figure out what I wanted to study and narrow it down to three Universities: Chester, Worcester and Newport.…

So grab a cuppa and off we go! Name? Sophie What is your favourite colour? Orange currently – probably because it’s October! What did you do today? Halloween Decorating: Budget Edition

We are over half way through October now and you know what that means? We’re closer to Halloween, which of course means it’s time to get up those decorations! Today I’m going to share with you all the decorations I managed to find all for under £10! I gave myself a limit of £10 because I knew if I didn’t I would go way over the top and have decorations I would never use again. Also this because my husband is not as into decorating for Halloween as myself (crazy right?) and kept making sure I didn’t buy too many tacky decorations. I took the trip to Poundland I had…

    The perfect rainy day

We are now half way through October! It feels like only yesterday I started writing posts for the beginning of Blogtober and now we’re on the other half of the month, crazy! What has also been crazy so far this month is the weather, wouldn’t you agree? We have had some days where it has definitely felt like Autumn but then a few odd days that have felt as though we were thrown back into June, how strange. After the long summer we had I was more than prepared for the chilly days Autumn would bring but then the few days of sunshine threw me off for a while. I…

    Makeup Revolution: Autumn Essentials

Recently I’ve been trying to get my head around how to use makeup and realised I was lacking in a few areas. I had no idea what was good to use for eyebrows, foundation or contouring (I’m still not 100% sure about the contouring business, but I’m experimenting). I mentioned in my Fall Tag post that the other day I saw my friend wearing this eye shadow colour that I fell in love with but it turned out it was from a highly priced palette. So I did some browsing around the internet and if you saw my recent post on Halloween makeup you’ll know I came across the actual website…
